About
Rooted in Eddington for More Than 50 Years
Rideout Gardens has helped generations of Maine gardeners grow with confidence for more than 50 years. We offer healthy plants, practical guidance, and a welcoming place where new and experienced gardeners can bring their ideas to life.
Our Story
Rideout Gardens began with the Rideout family and became a trusted part of the Eddington community. In the 1980s, Bob and Carol Solinger became its stewards. Mike and Diane Rimm continued that tradition beginning in 2015.
Chris and Anna Glick purchased Rideout Gardens in November 2025. Together with their daughters, Adalyn and Lilah, they are carrying its history forward while introducing new plants, ideas, and opportunities for local gardeners.
We specialize in beautiful hanging baskets, annual flowers, and bedding plants selected for Maine gardens. We also offer common favorites and distinctive vegetables and herbs, while expanding our selection of perennials, local ecotype natives, and plants for edible and medicinal landscapes.
We are proud to support RSU 63 garden club activities, school greenhouse efforts, and local charities. Our goal is for every customer to feel welcome, capable, and ready to accomplish any garden task. As Chris likes to say, Grow More!
